ICP DAS CL-20A-C is a natural gas (methane/CH4) detector that triggers an alarm when gas concentration reaches 3%–20% of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). Featuring a built-in 85 dB buzzer, 1 relay output for alarm linkage, CAN bus communication for IoT/fire safety integration, a data logger with up to 450,000 records, real-time clock, and 110 VAC direct power supply — the CL-20A-C is designed for residential, commercial, and industrial natural gas leak detection.
ICP DAS CL-20A-C is a wall/ceiling-mount natural gas (methane) detector designed for early warning of CH4 gas leaks in residential buildings, commercial facilities, and industrial environments. The detector continuously monitors methane concentration in the air using a semiconductor gas sensor and triggers an alarm when concentration reaches 3%–20% of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL) — equivalent to approximately 3,000 ppm — with a response time of 20 seconds and a sampling interval of 1 second.
The CL-20A-C solves a common limitation of single-point gas alarms: limited coverage across large or multi-room spaces. The built-in buzzer delivers at least 85 dB sound pressure at 3 meters, ensuring audibility in typical residential and commercial environments. The alarm linkage function allows the CL-20A-C to trigger other gas detectors in the network simultaneously — extending coverage across entire floors or buildings without requiring separate wiring to each unit. The 1-channel Form A relay output (30 VDC @ 0.2 A or 250 VAC @ 0.2 A) connects directly to alarm lights, sirens, or gas shut-off valves, enabling automated gas pipeline isolation upon alarm activation.
The CAN bus communication interface (ISO-11898-2, CAN 2.0A, 125 kbps) enables integration with building fire information systems and IoT platforms. Through graphical control software, operators can monitor the real-time status of all connected gas detectors across a facility from a central dashboard — supporting proactive fire safety management in smart buildings. A built-in data logger with capacity for up to 450,000 records and a real-time clock enable historical event tracking and audit trail for safety compliance.
Powered directly from 100–220 VAC (50/60 Hz) via terminal block, the CL-20A-C eliminates the need for a DC power adapter — simplifying installation, especially in ceiling-mount deployments. The wall/ceiling quick-release mounting design allows the unit to be installed and removed without tools. With a rated sensor lifetime of 5 years and compliance with EN-50194 residential gas detector standards, the CL-20A-C is certified for residential safety applications and is RoHS compliant.
