GIC CR36 Series is a compact 6-digit LCD digital/impulse counter featuring built-in non-volatile EEPROM memory for 100-year data retention without battery. Available in three supply voltage variants — 85–265V AC, 12–48V AC/DC, and 10–80V DC — with three interchangeable bezel styles (round, 24×48, and screw mount), remote reset input, counting frequency up to 30 Hz, IP54 protection, and ultra-low power consumption, the CR36 Series covers a wide range of industrial pulse counting and totalizing applications.
GIC CR36 Series is a DIN-panel-mount 6-digit LCD digital counter designed for accurate pulse counting and totalizing in industrial automation, process control, and manufacturing environments. The counter operates on a simple impulse input principle — each pulse at the count input increments the displayed count by one — making it suitable for counting events, parts, revolutions, flow pulses, and any other discrete input signal.
The built-in non-volatile EEPROM memory retains the accumulated count for up to 100 years without a battery or backup power supply. This eliminates the common maintenance burden of battery replacement and ensures count data is preserved through power outages, panel shutdowns, and equipment restarts — critical for production totalization and batch counting applications where data loss is unacceptable.
Three supply voltage variants cover the full range of panel power configurations: the Z72FBX operates on 85–265V AC (universal mains), the ZJ2FBX on 12–48V AC/DC for 24V control systems, and the ZH2FBX on 10–80V DC for DC-only systems. All three variants are housed in the same physical form factor and share a common panel cutout dimension (37.0×24.6 mm recommended), simplifying stock management and panel design. Power consumption is minimal — 0.8 VA maximum for the AC model and 0.6 W for the DC model — reducing heat generation inside control panels.
Three interchangeable bezel styles accommodate different panel aesthetics and installation requirements: Round Bezel (Ø37 mm), 24×48 Bezel (45.5×23 mm panel cutout), and Screw Mount Bezel (37.0×24.6 mm panel cutout with thumb nut fixing). All bezels share a flush/panel mount installation method with a maximum panel thickness of 10.20 mm. A remote reset input allows the counter to be reset externally from a PLC, push button, or control system without operator access to the front panel. IP54 protection guards the enclosure against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, ensuring reliable operation in industrial panel environments. The enclosure is manufactured from UL94-V0 rated flame-retardant material and is RoHS compliant.
